Results from Hitachi OPTIGEN® ASEAN panel is based on the chemiluminescent technology, and Light Units (LU) are converted into familiar Class Values.

The negative predictability is very high in that no allergic disease exists to a specific allergen if there are no demonstration of allergen specific IgE.
Conversely the positive predictive value of clinical disease in a patient with specific IgE demonstrated increases with the increasing level of allergen specific IgE. Any demonstration of allergen specific IgE production needs to be considered in the context of clinical symptoms upon the sensitized individual exposure to the allergen.
